Jacqui Hawkins, independent candidate for Benambra, recently travelled to Tallangatta for the Tallangatta Swap Meet and Historical Rally. She spent time admiring the vehicles on display and talking to locals about her interest in vehicles, Jacqui is a car enthusiast.
Jacqui is a local woman who is determined to raise the profile of Benambra again. She grew up in Benambra, born in Wodonga and went to school in Kiewa and spent her childhood years living with her family at Staghorn Flat.
Jacqui will be visiting Tallangatta and the Upper Murray on the 14th of November, stopping to talk to locals in Tallangatta, Corryong, Tintaldra and Bethanga. “I want to hear from our community about the issues and concerns that matter to them. I am particularly interested in education, transport, business and health, all of which are crucial to Benambra's economic and social development. These areas of interest support the creation of jobs and access to essential service across our region,” Jacqui said.
Jacqui is an independent and is not bound by party policy and is keen to represent Benambra and the people across the community.
